Finals are done, which means it's time to catch up on shows I've lost touch with during the school year, and maybe find some new ones to try.

Shows I'm catching up with (less than a season behind):
Sherlock: I still need to watch the Reichenbach Fall and I'm looking forward to it, considering the whispers I've heard on Twitter and LJ.
Castle: I have from the second part of the two-parter from February to last week's ep guest starring Adam Baldwin (Jayne on Firefly). I'll be able to watch the last two eps live and I'm excited about the rumours surrounding the finale.
Being Human (UK): I was kind of watching alongside the UK, albeit out of order, and I need to watch the last two eps.
Bones: Although, to be honest, I'm keeping up for the ability to squee with my Twitter peeps.
Bomb Girls: It's a Canadian mini series about girls working in the Canadian bomb factories in WWII. I watched the first ep, but I didn't get around to watching the rest of the mini series.

Show I'm catching up with (more than a season behind):
Doctor Who: I know, I know, I'm slow! I'm getting there, slowly. I'm on series three with Martha. I expect to be fully caught up by the time series seven airs, maybe. *crosses fingers*
Criminal Minds: I stopped watching after the 101st ep after having marathoned through it for most of the summer. It got too dark to watch so many eps in a row, but I might come back to this one.

Series I'd like to start:
New Girl: It's been recommended to me by several different people, so I'm going to try it.
L.A. Complex: Jewel Staite from Firefly stars in this, a soapy drama-like show from what I've read. It's not what I usually watch, but I'm still excited to see it (Jewel Staite!).
Dollhouse: I found the second season for $15 today at Wal-Mart today, so I impulse bought it. I just need to get the first season before I start watching. I'm interested to see what it's about, I know the basics, but this isn't one of Joss Whedon's more celebrated shows. It's under-the-radar Joss Whedon, even though he's a cult phenomenon.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer: I should have my Joss Whedon fan card revoked for not having seen this yet. I've seen the first three eps, but I haven't gone any further. My dad assures me it gets better from the cutesyness of the first couple seasons, so I'm going to stick it out. It's in at my library, so this might be what I watch first.
Angel: I haven't seen this either, but I'm gonna start this after I've seen the start of Buffy.
The Wire: I bought the first season for cheap, but it's still in the plastic wrap. I'll probably get to it eventually.
Red Dwarf: I borrowed the first two series from my step-uncle, and I should probably return them to him eventually. I'm interested to see what 80s British sci-fi looks like.

What I've already seen that I'd like to rewatch:
Firefly: I'm wanting to watch this again, and remember what could have been, if it hadn't been cancelled ten years ago.
Torchwood: I need to rewatch this so I can get my characterization right for the fic I'm writing right now.

If anyone has anything they'd like to add, please let me know! I tend to drift towards sci-fi and anything British, although that's not all I would watch. I just started watching TV two years ago, so I'm pretty open-minded to new things. I tend not to like really dramatic/catty story lines, but L.A. Complex is going to be an exception to the rule.

Don't forget to try and watch the Hour. It's amazingly well-done and you get to see Burn Gorman totally rock a Fedora.

Buffy definitely gets better, it's worth keeping on with... as you may have noticed from the large amount of my journal dedicated to it :D

BUT NO WATCHING ANGEL UNTIL YOU HAVE SEEN SEASONS 1-3 OF BUFFY!! Season 1 of Angel runs concurrently with Season 4 of Buffy, and if you watch it before, it will be confusing and spoilery. There's a few crossovers too which will make zero sense!

I quite liked Dollhouse, it's definitely worth watching, I have only seen season 1 though...season 2 is languishing on my shelf waiting to be watched :)

I'm soooo behind on Castle, only seen season 1, need to get myself together lol!

ANYWAY SORRY for going on... you asked what you need to add, and the answer is

***** WHITE COLLAR *****

It's just amazing. And oh my goodness - Matt Bomer!

Awesome. Thanks for the advice on Buffy and Angel. :)

Haha. Season 1 of Dollhouse is coming, slowly. An American Twitter peep is sending it to me after buying it and it being shipped to them, and I'm paying them back. The seasons are crazy expensive here, with the seasons being $40 to $57 each, and the second season somehow being cheaper than the first season.

Haha. Castle is amazing, and it gets better as the seasons go on. Hopefully it will get renewed for a fifth season. It's slightly nerve wracking waiting, as it's usually renewed really early.

Awesome sauce. I shall check it out. :)
