Title: Wedding Day
Author: Book_Junkie007
Pairing: implied Jack/Gwen
Rating: G
Wordcount: exactly 100 words
Warnings: None, really
Notes: This is what happens when you're bored, and on a bus. Jumping off point for this fic was [livejournal.com profile] karaokegal's Horseshoes with a mortal Jack, although it has nothing to do with her drabble. Thanks to my Twitter peep Laffers18 for reading it over for flow and potentially awkward wording. She rocks!

Summary: It's Gwen's wedding day.

Gwen looks in the mirror and sees a blushing bride. Today is her wedding day, and she’s excited. Today she is going to marry the most amazing man in the world.

She smiles as she remembers how the romance began, in a whirlwind of kisses, roses, and promises; promises of growing old together and loving each other until the day they die.

She still doesn’t know why he has chosen her, of all people. Surely there was someone else he would rather marry. Anyone but her.

They were equals now; both mortals. She begins her vows.

“I take thee, Jack...”

Thanks! I have a whole back story in my mind as to how Jack is mortal. :)

Would you mind if I cross-posted this? I haven't yet, cuz there's links to your stuff.

Spread the love, darling! I would suggest waiting until Sunday night/Monday AM to avoid the Weekend Comment Vortex. Remember to post to [livejournal.com profile] torchwood_decaf, [livejournal.com profile] torchwood, [livejournal.com profile] torchwood_fic and [livejournal.com profile] jack_and_gwen. Maybe even [livejournal.com profile] omni_fiction as well.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEE! I love it!

I know there's like a 0.00000001% chance that they will get married on the programme, but I still have my fingers crossed!

And if you have backstory, then I will be queuing up to read it :D

Thanks! :D

I know there's almost no chance of them getting married on the show, but the underlying sexual tension they have going is good enough for me. For everything else there's fanfic.

I will have to see about the backstory. I have it, it's just a matter of fleshing it out. I have so many plot bunnies at the moment, it's insane. I will also have to let it percolate a bit more. :)

Nice job! This is really well done, how do you keep it at 100 words? As you've seen, I fail miserably at that.

Thanks! :D

Honestly, it's just a lot of playing with words and figuring out where they fit, at least for me, and if I have to cut words, what is an alternative way of writing it so the story still makes sense. I think I had to cut some words (or a sentence) so I could fit the ending in, but I had the ending planned before I wrote the middle. I also really struggled to hit word counts in school, usually coming under the count, and then having to make stuff up so I could hit the word count, which probably helps when I'm writing drabbles.
