karaokegal's Horseshoes with a mortal Jack, although it has nothing to do with her drabble. Thanks to my Twitter peep Laffers18 for reading it over for flow and potentially awkward wording. She rocks!
Summary: It's Gwen's wedding day.
Gwen looks in the mirror and sees a blushing bride. Today is her wedding day, and she’s excited. Today she is going to marry the most amazing man in the world.
She smiles as she remembers how the romance began, in a whirlwind of kisses, roses, and promises; promises of growing old together and loving each other until the day they die.
She still doesn’t know why he has chosen her, of all people. Surely there was someone else he would rather marry. Anyone but her.
They were equals now; both mortals. She begins her vows.

Date: 2011-11-19 05:23 am (UTC)I know there's like a 0.00000001% chance that they will get married on the programme, but I still have my fingers crossed!
And if you have backstory, then I will be queuing up to read it :D

Date: 2011-11-19 06:26 am (UTC)I know there's almost no chance of them getting married on the show, but the underlying sexual tension they have going is good enough for me. For everything else there's fanfic.
I will have to see about the backstory. I have it, it's just a matter of fleshing it out. I have so many plot bunnies at the moment, it's insane. I will also have to let it percolate a bit more. :)

Date: 2011-11-19 06:50 am (UTC)Honestly, it's just a lot of playing with words and figuring out where they fit, at least for me, and if I have to cut words, what is an alternative way of writing it so the story still makes sense. I think I had to cut some words (or a sentence) so I could fit the ending in, but I had the ending planned before I wrote the middle. I also really struggled to hit word counts in school, usually coming under the count, and then having to make stuff up so I could hit the word count, which probably helps when I'm writing drabbles.
